Best Paper Award at ICHI 2024

πŸŽ‰ Exciting News!

We are thrilled to share that our team at King’s College London (KCL) has received the Best Paper Award at this year’s International Conference on Health Informatics (ICHI 2024)! This recognition highlights our commitment to leveraging digital technology to improve the lives of stroke survivors in London.

πŸ₯ Our Research: A Web3-Based Patient Portal

In collaboration with clinicians, social scientists, computer science experts, patients, and the public, we have developed a Web3-powered patient portal. This innovative tool enables stroke survivors to:
βœ… Access their personal health records securely
βœ… Manage their recovery goals effectively
βœ… Improve user experience and accessibility in digital healthcare

Our work aims to empower patients in their healthcare journey, making health records more transparent, interactive, and patient-centered.

πŸ™ Acknowledgments

This achievement would not have been possible without the outstanding leadership and support from my colleagues at King’s:

  • Prof. Vasa Curcin
  • Dr. Iain Marshall
  • Prof. Charles Wolfe

A special thanks to the ICHI 2024 General Chairs, especially @Zhe He, for providing us with an excellent platform to present our research. Also, a huge appreciation to Davide Ferrari, PhD(c) for accepting the award on behalf of our team!

πŸš€ We look forward to continuing our research and driving innovation in digital health!
